In this article, Megan (@fitlilnurse), the featured nurse of the week, shares her own personal nursing journey and experiences!
“I always knew that I wanted to do something in the medical field because sciences always interested me. Once I got to high school, I started looking into different professions more and more. I finally realized that I wanted to become a NURSE because I realized that nurses are really the ones who get to take care of the patients, comfort families and be personable. I could learn all the anatomy and physiology in the world, but what makes me happiest about my job is actually getting to know my patients and their families.”
“I graduated from nursing school in May of 2018 and started my job in July. I have been working for about 9 months!”
“I work in the Pediatric ICU and I think that is rewarding in itself. Knowing that I am LEGITIMATELY keeping patients ALIVE every day is a lot to swallow, but I think that it’s something that is challenging and very rewarding.”
